Aloe Vera

Aloe Barbadensis

Aloe is a succulent perennial of the lily family with skin enhancing value in the juice of its leaves. It is native to Africa and commercially grown in warm and tropical climates around the world. The leaf gel is rich in beneficial polysaccharides and amino acids and has been used to soothe the skin for more than 2500 years. Is used externally to rebalance dryness and calm delicate skin.

Arnica

Arnica Montana

The arnica plant has a bright yellow, daisy-like flower that has been used in homeopathic medicine for hundreds of years. It is typically applied to the skin to soothe sensitive areas as it helps to rebalance sensitivity and cool delicate skin.

Black Elder

Sambucus Nigra

Elder flowers grow in large flat umbels and are followed by small round deep purple berries. Elder extract has antioxidant properties and helps brighten and refresh and soften the skin.

Burdock

Arctium Lappa

During the Middle Ages, burdock was valued for treating a number of ailments and is a popular folk medicine today. Burdock has pronounced soothing properties and has been used traditionally to rebalance sensitivity on the skin and scalp.

Kaolin (Green Clay)

Kaolin is naturally-sourced clay that helps to rebalance oiliness and absorb impurities. It contains beneficial minerals and trace elements that help leave it feeling hydrated and refreshed.

Lavender

Lavandula angustifolia

Licorice

Glycyrrhiza glabra

What we think of as ‘licorice’ flavour is mostly anise; licorice itself tastes very sweet and musty. Traditionally the dried root has been used for its excellent soothing and hydrating properties help it to rebalance dryness. It also known to have skin brightening and softening properties.

Marshmallow
