Cudlee Creek in South Australia, only 38km from our Jurlique Farm was declared an emergency disaster area after bushfires swept through the Adelaide Hills in December 2019, burning through 23,000 hectare and destroying land, wildlife, homes and livelihoods.
We’ve partnered with Trees for Life, a not for profit organisation working to restore and protect South Australian landscapes. They’ve researched and collected seeds from the most badly affected plants, enabling us to nurture seedlings from the tree species that have been affected by the fires most.
As part of our ongoing sustainability efforts at Jurlique, for every bottle1 of Activating Water Essence sold in August, we will nurture a tree seedling on our Jurlique Farm and plant it at Cudlee Creek in 2021 to help rejuvenate the affected area.
At Jurlique, we swear by our Activating Water Essence – it’s at the very heart of the Jurlique skin care ritual and is our secret to clear, smooth skin. Here are five reasons why you should start using it on the regular.
From the biodynamic* practices on our farm, to the way we look after our planet and our people, sustainability is at the core of Jurlique, in every sense of the word. Since 2012, we’ve planted 12,000 trees in South Australia and around the world – and counting.
