5 ways to switch your serum into power mode
When it comes to high-performing skincare, a serum is your MVP. A concentrated blend of active ingredients designed to create change on your skin, adding a serum into your skincare routine is a really effective way to reach a multitude of skin goals. Here are five ways to get the most out of your serum:
1. BUT FIRST, CLEANSE
We shouldn’t have to say it but we will: don’t even think about applying your serum to your skin unless it’s freshly cleansed. Give the concentrated actives in your serum the best possible chance to deep dive into the layers of the skin, without first having to wade through any debris (in this case: sweat, sunscreen, makeup).
2. WAY TO GLOW
For a guaranteed glow, first apply a hydrating mask for 10-15 minutes. Wipe or tissue off then apply a few drops of your favourite serum for renewed radiance.
3. ACTIVATE YOUR BEST SKIN
A skincare boost from the South Australian Hills: Activating Water Essence preps skin to absorb and enhance the full benefit of serums and moisturisers. It's made from softening marshmallow root extract from our Jurlique Farm in South Australia.
4. BAN THE BRUSH
Avoid the trend of applying serums with a makeup or facial brush; you’ll lose precious product soaked up into the brush hairs. Instead, use your fingertips to lightly massage your serum directly into the skin. Apply any excess to your neck and backs of your hands.
5. THE PERFECT FINISH
To really amplify the effects of your serum, apply to the skin and leave for a few minutes (while you brush your teeth or get dressed for the day). Then add a moisturiser over the top to seal in the serum and protect and hydrate the skin. Try the power couple that is Moisture Plus Rare Rose Serum and Moisture Plus Rare Rose Lotionn.
